OK. I’m just going to come right out and say it…I wear socks and sandals.
When I’m not glamming it up behind the stove, I like nothing better than to faff about in our catering garden in socks and sandals. Perfect for slip on slip off action, plus no bits, getting in. Its comfy, it’s warm and its incredibly unattractive.
As we enter the cusp of seasons, it is the perfect time to plant and tend to and bed down the garden ready for a rest before springtime craziness – perfectly timed for wedding catering.
Its Earth Day today, so I thought I would share with you how the garden outside of Fat and Skinny Catering’s kitchen window is going. I built this garden from scratch over the last five years and it is one of my greatest joys.
One of the last things I do before leaving for a catering gig is pick the garnishes and flowers that adorn the serving plates and cheese platters at all of our functions.
It is a wonderful way to take a breather before service begins, and it is a personal and humble offering to our catering clients.
